This class introduces real estate professionals to the role of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) in addressing the housing and affordability crisis in Washington State.

This class addresses the legal requirements for ADUs, the steps of the ADU approval process, and the costs and financial benefits of ADUs. Two expert panels of municipal planning, design, building, lending, real estate and financial professionals will lend their expertise to the discussion.

CLASS OVERVIEW:

• Hour 1: Overview of ADUs, laws and considerations for realtors
• Hour 2: Property evaluation, feasibility and design considerations, financing and appraisal
• Hour 3: ADU products on the market; spec, custom, remodels, prefab etc.
