Missing Middle House is Missing

Do you wonder why teachers are driving an hour or more each way to get to work? Or why we don’t have more types of housing that fit all budgets in Washington State? Or what makes housing so expensive?

Join us for informative and passionate discussions from industry experts in home building, real estate, business, municipal government, and nonprofits to hear their differing perspectives on the lack of missing middle housing in Washington State.

The Panels will cover the following topics:

• What is missing middle housing and how does it benefit individuals and communities?
• What are the barriers to building missing middle housing?
• What are some ways to incentivize/encourage the building of more missing middle housing?

At the end of class, we’ll see some examples of missing middle housing and hear from those involved some lessons learned from them.
