What is Real Commercial Real Estate?

REAL Commercial Real Estate (RCRE) is a different kind of commercial real estate course.  It’s designed and delivered to be “skill based”.  Each skill is something you can use in commercial real estate whether, leasing, buying and selling, negotiating, or understanding markets.  It won’t teach you everything you will ever need to know, but you will leave the course with the ability to pursue commercial real estate transactions.

One Course, The 4 Modules

RCRE is delivered in 4 modules:

RCRE Module 1 / Overview of Commercial Real Estate / 3.5 Hours
This module is designed to teach you three things: how to be successful in commercial real estate, the different commercial real estate markets, the land use code as it pertains to commercial real estate.

RCRE Module 2 / How to Negotiate Commercial Real Estate Transactions / 3.5 Hours
Module 2 is a skill set specific module in negotiation.  We’ll cover tactics, strategies, and the implementation of negotiation into commercial real estate transactions.  And then you’ll practice.

RCRE Module 3 / Investment Analysis for Commercial Real Estate Transactions / 3.5 Hours
This module isolates four core skills in the investment side of commercial real estate: time value of money, measuring cash flow, determining cash-on-cash return, and how to use cap rate the right way.  Note: you will need to download a $6 app for your phone for this module.

RCRE Module 4 / Leasing Skills for Commercial Real Estate / 3.5 Hours
If you’re going to be in commercial real estate, you need to understand leasing.  This module will walk you through the lease process from beginning to end, how a Letter of Intent is prepared, 22 of the most common terms in commercial real estate leases, and a few of the legal nuances of commercial leases as well.

This purpose of this course is to introduce you to the reality of commercial real estate, the skills you need to start making deals, and the actions you need to take to build a commercial real estate practice.  If this is what you want, this is what you will get.

If you attend the class, and if after the first module in the morning session you decide that it wasn’t as advertised, or that it isn’t for you, you can have a full refund of your tuition (no clock hours).

IMPORTANT! Attendance requirements: Live online course will be presented via ZOOM Meeting. The link to join the meeting will be sent in the confirmation email. Students will need a device with two-way video and audio capabilities and a (free) Zoom account. To verify attendance, students must keep their camera on for the duration of the course and respond to live polls. Clock hour credit will only be given to students with their camera on, who are present and visible on their camera during the course, and who participate in course polls/chat.
